Phillip L. Bellack
Died January 10, 2023
Phillip Bellack, born in Newberry, Michigan in 1935, passed away January 10, 2023 at the age of 87.
He was the beloved husband of the late Carol Bellack (nee Blitstein) and cherished father of Dena (Dan Wigglesworth) Bellack and the late Brian Bellack. He was also the loving grandfather of Zack and Libby Wigglesworth.
He will be remembered always for his jokes and taking life in stride. He only golfed on “days that end in ‘y’”. He was the best loving dad and grandfather.
He will be missed beyond words.
Edward William Kingren
July 5, 1930 – February 6, 2023
Lifelong Newberry resident, Edward William “Billy” Kingren, 92, died Monday afternoon February 6, 2023 at Golden Leaves Living Center in Newberry.
Born July 5, 1930 in Newberry, son of the late Edward and Agnes (Olsen) Kingren, Billy was a 1951 graduate of the Michigan School for the Deaf. During his lifetime, Billy held various employment in the area. Billy was a follower of Jesus Christ and always helping others along the way in his life’s journey. Billy enjoyed traveling, visiting his family, a volunteer in the community and playing the organ.
In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by his siblings Robert “Bud” Kingren and Ruth Wendrow.
Survivors include his sister-in-law Meryl Kingren of Newberry; nieces and nephews Brenson (Sharon) Kingren of Naubinway, Charmond Kingren of Lansing, Renee (Charles) Abram of Curtis and Russell Kingren of Manistique.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday February 13, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at the Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry. Funeral services celebrating the life of Billy will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Oberle, of the Newberry Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, officiating. Interment will take place in the spring of 2023 at the Forest Home Cemetery in Newberry.
The Kingren family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Golden Leaves Living Center for the love and care Billy received. Memorials may be directed to Golden Leaves Living Center in his loving memory.
