The 15th Annual Dig Pink volleyball game between the Newberry Indians and the Engadine Eagles will take place on Tuesday, October 10 in the Engadine Schools Gymnasium. The JV game begins at 5:45 p.m. with the JV game and the varsity to follow.
Additional activities and programs will take place between matches.
During the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hundreds of high school and college teams hold Dig Pink matches to promote awareness and raise money to help eradicate the disease.
This year’s event will benefit the Side Out Foundation, Helen Newberry Joy Hospital’s infusion department, and Shirley’s Angles.
Fundraising activities will include a T-shirt and pink item sale, 50/50 cash prize, bucket raffle, and a “Coins for a Cure” collection.
Two Dig Pink game balls will be auctioned off after the second set of the varsity game.
