Newberry

The Tahquamenon Area Schools Elementary Halloween parade will take place on Tuesday, October 31 beginning at 1:45 p.m. in front of the school. The parade will travel north on M-123 turning left on West Truman Boulevard. The parade will cut through the Helen Newberry Joy Hospital parking lot and will walk in front of the Golden Leaves living center cafeteria to allow the residents to see the kids and costumes.

The parade will then proceed to East Harrie Street and turn right on Robinson Street heading south and will cross McMillan Avenue to the school playground.

Trick-or-treating will take place in the Village of Newberry from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31.

The LINK is holding a trunk or treat event on Tuesday, October 31 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Nicolet Bank parking lot.

Engadine
The Engadine Consolidated Schools Halloween parade will take place starting at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31.

The parade will begin inside the elementary and will leave the building traveling across the front of the building along the sidewalk to the greenhouse and turn south along the sidewalk re-entering the building through the west high school doors.

Parents and the community are encouraged to view the parade along the outside route.

Curtis
The third annual Curtis Kid’s Halloween party will be held Saturday, October 21 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Rodney and Heather Kinnear’s house, located N9324 Saw Wa Quato Road.

The event will offer food, games, prizes, a haunted trail and a hayride, which will take place throughout the evening.

Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume or Halloween apparel and there will be a contest for the best costume for a girl, boy and adult.

Germfask
Haunted Acres is presenting the Terrifier Haunted Room from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Germfask Township Hall located at 8093 Pine Street. There will be games for all ages and prizes. A costume judging will take place at 6:45 p.m.

Trunk-or-treating will be held from 5 to 7 p.m.

Paradise
Whitefish Township EMS and the Paradise Area Chamber of Commerce is holding a Halloween in Paradise event on Tuesday, October 31 at the Whitefish Township Community Center from 4 to 7 p.m.
The event will include games, prizes, candy and snacks. There will also be a kid’s costume contest. The event is free for everyone.

Whitefish Township Community Schools is holding their First Annual Halloween Dance for 13 – 18-year-olds. Admission is $1 and there will be free refreshments.
