Connie (Clark) Fox, 82 of Coon Rapids, MN, passed away on October 28th, 2023, at the Red Cedar Canyon Senior Community in Hudson, WI.
Born on January 28th, 1941, to the late Al and Cleffie Clark in Manistique, MI. Connie was raised in Newberry, MI and attended Newberry High School. Connie Clark met Wiley Fox in Newberry, the love of her life and was married for sixty-two (62) years. After her husband Wiley retired from the United States Air Force they moved to Coon Rapids, MN and she worked at Embers Restaurant for thirty (30) years. During this time, she met her best friend Punky Heckleman.
When Connie’s Husband retired, they spent their winters at Gulf Shores, Alabama. Shortly after her husband Wiley passed, she moved to Hudson, WI to be close to her devoted daughter Raven Shortell. Connie then made her home at the Red Cedar Canyon Senior Community, Hudson, WI. Connie was a social butterfly with a sharp wit and soon made many friends. She enjoyed Bingo and Social Entertainment nights. She loved to play Scrabble and Cribbage. She was instrumental in organizing a Cribbage Club at the facility.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband Wilburt (Wiley) Fox, Parents AI and Cleffie Clark, Sisters Penny and Jackie Clark both from Newberry, MI, Sister-in-law Alberta Hull, of Ft. Lauderdale Brother-in- law Homer Melton of Lafayette, IN.
Connie Fox is survived by her beloved daughter Raven (Steve) Shortell of Hudson, WI, Sister Dorie Melton of Lafayette, IN, Brother-in-laws Shel (Shelly) Fox and Terry (Laura) Fox, Sister-in-law Alviria (Raju) Narasimhan and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Per her wishes she was cremated, and no services were held. She will be interred with her husband Wiley Fox at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
